Tweetbot for Mac updated with major bug fixes

Tweetbot for Mac (teaser 001)

Popular Twitter client Tweetbot posted an update for its Mac application this weekend, bringing the app to version 1.4.1. The update looks fairly minor on the surface, but it includes a handful of serious bug fixes.

Long-time Tweetbot for Mac users will be happy to hear that the new version finally fixes that pesky issue where you can see “x unread items” but can’t scroll up to see them, and various other interface annoyances…

Here’s the full 1.4.1 change log:

– Fixed the issue where you can see “x unread items” but can’t scroll up to see them
– Fixed the issue where direct message images would not load when clicked
– Fixed the issue with some users seeing hangs related to iCloud syncing or playing audio
– Fixed the issue where the main Tweetbot window could move from the secondary to primary monitor after restarting the app

The update serves as a nice iterative follow-up to last month’s release, which brought about a number of improvements including smoother scrolling, reply support for push notifications and more for folks on OS X Mavericks.

Like its iOS counterpart, Tweetbot is widely considered to be the best Twitter client for the Mac. It’s not for everyone, as the price tag may feel a bit steep, but if you’re interested you can find it in the Mac App Store for $20.
