MultiShortcut Featured

If you’ve been able to resist the draw of iOS 7 and maintain a jailbroken device on iOS 6 or below, you are to be commended. As a reward for you dedication, you get to try out jailbreak tweaks while everyone else has to wait until an iOS 7 jailbreak.

One such tweak, a recent release dubbed MultiShortcut, allows users to quickly access specific sections of the Stock settings app. This is done by tapping and holding on the Settings app icon. Instead of invoking wiggle mode like normal, you’re greeted with a sheet providing links to a variety of areas found inside the Stock settings app.

MultiShortcut 01

At first I thought that there would be just a few shortcuts to be found in MultiShortcut. I was surprised to find over 30 different shortcuts, some to relatively obscure areas of the stock Settings app.

Here’s the full list of items to be found (in order):

  • About
  • Accessibility
  • Airplane
  • Auto-Lock
  • Brightness
  • Bluetooth
  • Date & Time
  • FaceTime
  • General Keyboard iCloud
  • iCloud Storage & Backup
  • International
  • Location Services
  • Music
  • Music Equalizer
  • Music Volume Limit
  • Network
  • Notes
  • Notification
  • Phone
  • Photos
  • Profile
  • Reset
  • Safari
  • Siri
  • Sounds
  • Software Update
  • Store
  • Twitter
  • Usage
  • VPN
  • Wallpaper
  • Wi-Fi

MultiShortcut is a tweak to consider if you want to bypass all of the visual flair and fluff to be found in the Settings app. It’s a tweak that’s good to use in order to quickly get down to business.

MultiShortcut 02

You can find MultiShortcut free of charge on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Be sure to share your thoughts on the tweak in the comments below. We’d especially like those who still happen to have jailbroken devices to sound off.

    I wish I could get my i5 to iOS 6 🙁

  • Willie

this tweak is simple and easy, one bad point would be that the settings are placed in alphabetical order… would cause confusion with the stock settings

  • Hence

Rubbish tweal. Plus there are better alts.

Living still with 5.1.1 … Don’t really see why on my 4S I would even consider the sacrilege of “upgrading?”. Is an upgrade really necessary when 5.1.1/4S works as Steve had conceived the idea?

Maybe, when I see a true advancement in technological conception will I consider leaving the dreamworld conceived by Steve for another potentially exhilarating “flat” adventure.

True, very well said. Each iPhone is running fully optimized on the iOS version it was launched with. Still, 6.1.2 on 4S is the perfect combination: the best designed iPhone on the latest polished version of iOS as it was conceived by its inventors, Jobs and Forstall.
The whole “modern, flat” concept is just a bunch of blinding white screens, neon colors and idiotic icons.

The best designed iPhone is the iPhone 5/5s designed by Steve jobs. And for those who complain about ios7 isn’t it really just cause you don’t want to lose your jailbreak. And honestly so sick and tired of people complains about the brights colors and whites! iOS 6 and below were always disgusting, people
Jail broke there phones in the beginning due to one fact! Winter board! Finally allowing them to change the iPhones ugly icons and usurer interface !!

      • mav3rick

        Chill out.
neonOS is all blinding white screens, rainbow neon colors and idiotic icons. “Simple, modern, elegant” translate into stripped out of any details or eye candy look, no visual guidance for buttons now as simple text or non sense sketches, basic look for simple minded.

So true … I never uograded to 6.? as there were too many bumps in the climb and an un ertain life span to the JB being developed.

Even though there are a number of new JB’s limited to 6 or 7, I am still quite happy with my 5. for now. Will wait to see how 7 advanced 😉
