Angry Birds Bad Piggies (teaser 003)

Great news gamers! Rovio’s popular Bad Piggies game has been named App of the Week by Apple, meaning you can download the iPhone and iPad versions of the title for free during the next 7 days.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, Bad Piggies is fairly different from Angry Birds and Rovio’s other titles in that it revolves around building contraptions to get your pigs safely through levels…

From the App Store’s description:

The Bad Piggies are after the eggs again — but as usual, nothing is going according to plan! Can you create the ultimate flying machine and steer them safely to their destination? Those tricky pigs have a few objects they can use, but they need your help to turn these into the perfect transportation!

With more than 60 levels, and free updates coming up, you have hours and hours of pig-crashing, exploding, and flying fun! Get three stars on every level to unlock 30 more puzzles! HINT: Sometimes you need to play the level several times to achieve all the objectives — try building a new device or steering in a different way to earn all the stars!

And here’s a gameplay video courtesy of TouchArcade:

Bad Piggies has been very successful, reaching the top spot in the US App Store in just 3 hours. And at the moment, it has 4.5 stars based on over 20,000 ratings. So needless to say, it’s worth checking out.

If you’re interested, you can find the iPhone version of the app here, and the iPad HD version here. Keep in mind that the deal only covers the iPhone and iPad versions, and it’s a limited time thing.

People, just get Tiny Thief. It’s costs £2 but it’s actually good unlike Bad Piggies and that terribly boring Angry Birds. Rovio needs to make more games like Tiny Thief and Darkest Fear.
