Gone free: Dead Space, Flight Control, Mirror’s Edge, Peggle and Sims Medieval

Dead Space for iOS (iPhone screenshot 001)

If your favorite game isn’t on the list of top iOS apps Apple gave away as part of its ‘5 Years of App Store’ anniversary promo, Electronic Arts has you covered.

The super publisher is giving away several of its premium iPhone and iPad games that normally cost anywhere between 99 cents to ten bucks. Specifically, they’ve slashed Dead Space, Flight Control, Mirror’s Edge, Peggle and The Sims Medieval to zero bucks.

The promotion is in support of the App Store turning five earlier this week, valid for a limited time only.

These titles have been on sale for five days now sou you’ll want to download them before the price goes up again (likely on Monday). I’ve included iTunes download links right below…

Download now, even if you don’t need them at this moment:

Dead Space [gone free, was $6.99]
Dead Space for iPad [gone free, was $9.99]
Flight Control [gone free, was $0.99]
Mirror’s Edge [gone free, was $0.99]
Mirror’s Edge for iPad [gone free, was $9.99]
Peggle [gone free, was $0.99]
Peggle HD [gone free, was $9.99]
The Sims Medieval [gone free, was $2.99]
The Sims Medieval for iPad [gone free, was $4.99]

Dead Space is one of the finest sci-fi shooters around and a must-have.

The line-drawing game Flight Control needs no introduction. The side-scrolling endless runner Mirror’s Edge has been one of my favorites, along with Canabalt.

Peggle is a popular mobile game from PopCap Games, the highly regarded mobile publisher which got swallowed by Electronic Arts two years ago for north of $1 billion.

Last but not the least, The Sims Medieval is based upon The Sims 3 engine and lets you build a kingdom through quest-driven gameplay.

You’re looking at a $47.91 worth of premium EA games here so get downloading now before it’s too late.
