You, too, can become a legend of justice in Disney’s new role-playing game inspired by its new The Lone Ranger feature movie starring Johnny Depp which hits the theatres today. As the title implies, The Lone Ranger puts you in the shoes of a Texas Ranger in the Wild West.

You’ll be riding horses, protecting the citizens of Colby, bringing infamous outlaws to justice, facing-off the baddies in showdowns and more.

Graphics certainly look the part and Disney is billing the game as a 3D role-playing adventure so there’s more to it than meets the eye. Your trailer and further details are right after the break…

Here’s a launch trailer.

You’re not alone in your quest to bring peace and justice to the town of Colby.

Assisting you in your quests to end greed and corruption are allies like the Lone Ranger and Tonto.

The villains include such colorful characters as Butch Cavendish and his unwieldy gang.

The game of course lets you unlock new weapons, tools and horses to level-up your character and you’ll also enjoy 3D cutscenes featuring characters from the movie.

The Lone Ranger can be had for free on the App Store, with 22/56/115 coin packs available as $1.99/$4.99/$9.99 in-app purchases. As a launch special, the game offers $1.99 worth of free coins, for a limited time only.

The universal binary is compatible with the iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5, third-gen iPod touch or later and all iPad models. It’s also optimized for the iPhone 5’s taller screen and requires at least iOS 5.0.
