AutoResponder 2 for iOS is out, 50% off for a limited time

If you’ve been jailbreaking for a while, chances are you’ve heard of AutoResponder. The tweak allows you to set up an auto-reply for your text messages, sending a pre-generated reply to anyone who messages you.

Well good news for folks who love the tweak, and even better news for those that want to try it. It was updated this week, released as AutoResponder 2, with support for iOS 6. And for a limited time, it’s 50% off…

First, let’s talk a bit about it. There’s no app icon for AutoResponder. You can find its preferences in your Settings app, and once it’s enabled, incoming messages will be replied to with a response of your choosing.

As for the responses, you can program both the preset and default messages to be whatever you want. So for instance, preset examples could be ‘sleeping’ or ‘in school.’ Your default response is more generic, ‘I’m busy.’

Yes, AutoResponder 2 works with both text and iMessages.

Also new in version 2 is the ability to ‘whitelist’ contacts, meaning you can list who you don’t want to receive your auto-replies. The timer has also been updated, and can now wait 1 minute-2 hours between responses.

No, not everyone needs an auto-reply feature on their iPhone. But for those that do, AutoResponder 2 is as solid as they come. And right now, it’s only $1.50 (discounted from $2.99). You can find it in the BigBoss repo.
