Very baffled with A6X being Dual-Core

    • http://www.facebook.com/joe.jonsen Joe Jonsen

it has dual core CPU section and quad core GPU section = 6 cores total..

      • f1ght3r

I would liked to see them implement a 4x CPU AND a 4x GPU. Anyone who has an iPad 3 has not immediate need to upgrade- just wait another 6 months and see what they’ll dish out.

Atleast it got more ppi than the ipad 2

same resolution smaller screen, that’s just math…
to me it just looks like they took a generation (or 2 generation) old product and made it smaller

      Yes we will

nice, you just copy and pasted all the info from apple’s webpage. great article…

    • pegger1

Haha that’s what I was thinking. Could have just put the link.

Why so you can click on this article then be linked to Apple’s website?

What about the people that haven’t looked at Apple’s website yet? Your blog life must be pretty good if this is the stuff you have an issue with.

iDB is one of the best iBlogs out there, and we expect more than just copy and pasted info. Just sayin’.

why not just spend the extra 70 and get the iPad 2? i take mine every where i go and have no problem holding it in one hand and i have a bigger screen. the screen size is the selling point for me.

    • Thorasgard

Not sure I want one but less than half the weight and not as bulky. Certainly better suited for reading in bed. At least for a girly man like me. :)

R.I.P iPad2… What a waste that i didn’t used my iPad2 for 2yrs here another more two iDevice on top!;( Apple is really fuckin with me:( My 4s will soon be obsolete! Really? So sick right now:(

    • Thorasgard

iPad 2 still alive. iPad 3 RIP

  • Blahfoe

Being that the iPad mini is also A5 chip that also make it easy to jailbreak. If that is the case then I definitely will be getting the iPad mini most likely the black version. Definitely on Verizon’s LTE network. Has there been any word yet on sprints pricing for the iPad

This might me an easier to understand infographic style comparison of the iPad mini vs iPad 4: http://sortable.com/tablets/Apple-iPad-mini-32-GB-vs-Apple-iPad-4

The wifi specs are the same in iPad 3 and 4. So how is the wifi twice as fast?

  • Thorasgard

Another thought. Why didn’t they just make it a phone and Kill off the Note? It is a one handed device. Leaves your other hand to do “other” things.

Only reason why I think iPad Mini is better than my iPad 2 is because it has siri. I wish I had siri on my iPad 2.

Is capacity really that expensive that the price goes up 100 bucks per double the space? Just seems crazy.

I have a thought/question that I haven’t seen explored yet. The iPad Mini is fundamentally derived from LAST YEAR’s/2nd generation/pre-4G iPad2 and was understandably tweaked to stay current with the current tablet generation. With the abrupt demise of the 3rd-gen iPad, how much shelf life can we really expect out of the iPad 2 and (by extension) this 1st-gen iPad Mini. The iPad Mini is a tempting product but it almost seems doomed to obsolescence out of the gate.

WTF? the iPad 2 has the same CPU like the mini, but it has no Siri
