$249 was perfect…$329 not so much…i don’t want to but i guess i have to give a serious look to nexus 7…:(

I completely agree here. At $249 the iPad mini is a no brainer. At $329 feels like I’m paying new car prices for a used one.

Surely I am looking at the upcoming Google event to see if the Nexus price will go down @ $99.00 rumored

Apple’s product line is growing to be such a fucking mess, and simplicity used to be one of their strong sides.
They have those 2-year-old iPod touches for 200, and the new ones for 300. Then a device, which is more than twice as large, costs only 30 more. But it’s nowhere near as good as it’s bigger brother, the 10 inch iPad.
It’s a giant mess and I’m, liking it less and less from day to day!

  • obet

it will be perfect if start 250$ for wifi & 350$ for wifi+cellular :)

  • jose castro

pricing is stupid..might as well get the iPad 2

    • Kurt

exactly…unless you are going to lug it around with you everywhere get the iPad 2(which should be cheaper now that the ipad 4 is out)

if the $99 rumored Nexus 7 is true, then this is a no brainer. ~.~ though the iPad mini is pricey, i still want one.

I’ll be sticking with my Nexus 7 for sure.

For me it is $250 or bust. I mean come on $329? Guess we will wait for the refurbished ones to hit the site. My wife wanted a little bit smaller tablet to carry around other than our 3rd gen iPad. This would be perfect other than the price.

    • BearManPig

get her the nexus 7, dont waste so much money in her xD
and just wait for whats the future on nexus 7 or their variations on oct 29th

    Epic Fail on Pricing.

  • http://twitter.com/edwxnkoh Edwin Koh

In Singapore, it cost SGD448 for the iPad mini, SGD398 for the iPod touch 5th gen, SGD528 for iPad 2 and SGD658 for the iPad 4th gen. The price between iPad mini and iPad 2 is quite high in Singapore…

  • http://twitter.com/iAli7336 iAli

I’m going to get the iPad mini !

  • http://twitter.com/e420kush e420Kush

I dont get it, how is an iPod Touch $299 and this iPad Mini is $329. WTF.

    • Thorasgard

It’s smaller so it should cost less. What part of this do you not understand ?

      • http://twitter.com/e420kush e420Kush

by 30 dollars? Your telling me an iPad mini and ipod touch should only be 30 dollars apart from each other?

I dont know but if you ask me a 30 dollar difference just seems odd. For such a larger device than the iPod touch, that just goes to show that they are over charging for the iPod touch.

$249 would have made me happy but i can live with $329. 64gb mini here i come! now the decision is what to do with the 64gb + LTE AT&T ipad 3rd gen.

    • Thorasgard

Sell it to me for $400 and make a profit.

  • Guest

referbished ipad 3rd Generation is 397 (including tax) from the apple website.

  • http://www.facebook.com/oscar.serrano.50746 Oscar Serrano

Refurbished 3rd generation ipad is 398 with tax included, might as well get that

  • http://twitter.com/GuyBey0ndC00L eDDie

I only paid $400 for my iPad 3. If I can sale my iPad 3 for 400 I’ll buy this. Retina is nice an all but it’s heavy and the size makes it a hazel sometimes to carry around. I think iPad mini price is fix these way because if it was $200, $250, or even $300. There would be no point to buy the better Retina iPad 3 ( with lighting cable.)

  • Viktor_Zweig

This is pathetic! Pricing is just plain wrong. I was looking forward to it but now, my Nexus 7 looks pretty damn good. Especially since the update to 4.1.2. I’m glad I exchanged my iPad 2 for this thing. Size and screen do make a difference!

  • Kurt

I was going to buy my wife one. But she thinks that the iPad is outdated since iOS devices look like they belong in 2007. She wants a better OS too. iOS is ok but it’s not a great OS. So maybe windows 8 will be where we go.

  • http://twitter.com/iFonU iFonU

i’m not saying that apple got the price rite but in my opinion its not worth buying the out dated ipad2 over the ipad mini which has better specs and in a way cheaper as well
