With billions of dollars hanging in the balance, and both companies’ reputations at stake, the Samsung-Apple trial is one of the most high-profile in history.

But you wouldn’t know any of this unless you frequently visited tech sites, like iDB, or you happened to be watching tonight’s episode of Conan O’Brien…

Comedian Conan O’Brien showed the above clip on his talk show tonight, catapulting the Samsung-Apple dispute into mainstream status. And as you can see, it was quite the hit.

But it’s hard to tell whether the audience knows that the first part of the skit isn’t a joke or not. Apple has been legitimately trying to prove that Samsung copied its smartphone and tablet designs for months now. And has been doing well in court over the past few days.

At any rate, what did you think of the sketch?

    Sarcasm! I like it.

  • lmao.

  • haha blows samsung fans

  • Stephan Jones XD

  • LMAO

  • Makoy123

Just hoping that car manufacturer wont sue each other for copy infringement . having similar design, 4 doors, four round tires, rounded steering wheel..what a joke apple. you showed the world you cannot compete the market that’s why your killing otehr manufacturer. I think apple wants an tab to look round for otehr manufactures…lol

    • I completely agree with you.

All competitors copy each other which then drives them to further
improve their products. This “copy cat” claim should be thrown out of
court and the Judge should tell Apple to copy and improve on Samsung’s

At the end of the day, we, the end user, will benefit.

And if any Apple Fan Bois/Boys think otherwise, then I want you to tell
me that you are happy to wait several years for an innovation that
already existed on phones… let me name one for you… the front facing
camera. Do you really believe Apple invented or came up with this

I am an iPhone user, but I am waiting for “The New iPhone” to be
      released… if it is a great phone then I’m upgrading… otherwise, I
will look at what is on offer from other vendors.

Ultimately, it is a phone with Internet access; that’s all.

“Good artists copy. Great artists steal.” – Steve Jobs

      • ReanimationXP

        Jobes? -_-

      • So we should deffer all the patents in the world….let somebody innovate and then brutally copy him….
dude innovate something and when some1 copies u, u ll understand….

      • Yes, and if someone makes a product better than mine using my ideas, I will not get pissed about it, I will innovate a better product. Apple clearly doesn’t get the point.

      • smtp25

Company A spends $1B in R&D, Company B just duplicates it and sells it on. Company A can innovate all they like, they will be wasting money on R&D while Company B just copies and saves the $1B they would’ve had to spend. Innovation costs money

      • Life isn’t fair? Cry me a river. The automotive industry is doing just fine, even though almost every car is practically the same. The only difference? Consumer choice.

      • i can’t get your point…you are in favor of knock offs and rip offs….:strange

      • smtp25

No they are not, sure 4 wheels but then there’s styling, engine liter/cylinders, trans cvt/manual/dsg, traction control, parking aides, incar entertainments, safety features. That’s why you have number 1 selling cars not same across all cars

      • Emre SÜMENGEN

Yeah, you know too much about automobiles I guess…

Just email Ford or Opel or Ferrari about their injection systems and/or motorblock designs…

      • btw samsung didnt innovate a thing…they just copied….

      • Your argument was invalidated a while ago so…

        Cool story bro!

      • smtp25

I’m picking you’ve never actually created something of worth so can’t appreciate that the theft of it is wrong

      • And if someone makes a product better than mine, I’ll stop R&D, and I’ll just steal someone else’s idea. I could honestly care less about how it affects someone else. Greed makes the world go round, and if you haven’t figured that out yet, you’re doomed to ignorance.

      • Emre SÜMENGEN

“if someone makes a product better than mine, I’ll stop R&D, and I’ll just steal someone else’s idea”

You are the sole reason why patents exist!!!

      • And when has that ever stopped someone? It doesn’t. Your argument is invalid.

      • Emre SÜMENGEN

It doesn’t matter if it stops you (or anyone)… What matters is that you are (or would then be) a THIEF.

And that’s enough for me to shun a thief, or a thief’s products…

Think which way you like, but without respect to other’s accomplishments, you’ll just be a copycat… And, I for one, would pay triple for an original, rather than being with a copycat.

There’s the argument and it’s pretty solid. On the other hand, you are the one without any, let go valid or invalid…

      • Considering you’re still arguing about copying, I’ll say this.

Regardless of anything you have to say, you can waste all of your money on a original all you want. But when something comes out that’s better, and more affordable, you’ll have been the only person stupid enough to fall for “originality”. Nothing in this world is original. Which is why the word “copy” exists.

Again, thank you for wasting even more time invalidating your argument.

      • smtp25

Using your ‘logic’ if someone earns more than you (develops better product), you’ll just steal from them?

So if I’m greedy, and I want a iPhone I’ll just steal yours. Greed makes the world go round; you’ll then have to steal someone elses .. then everyone stops buying them because they get stolen.

Claims of ignorance are normally made by ignorant people; and fools rushin

      • Pirates are a perfect example. If you steal you never have to buy. If you steal my iPhone, I’ll steal it back. Or steal another. It doesn’t matter how it’s done, as long as you get what you want. And your last statement has proven my point. No one was claimed to be ignorant… you only assumed that; ignorantly.

      • Huh.???…nea my point is same as smpt25…

      • So you’re still wrong…good job!

      • Emre SÜMENGEN

        Sure… Sure…

    • How about the lumia and the windows phone? Oh wait!! They don’t have nothing to do with the iPhone! :O

  • LOL

  • Love it. Funniest thing I’ve seen in weeks.

  • ROFL !!

  • SoCoMagNuM

ive owned iphone devices since the 3G iphone and i now own a Galaxy S3 and honestly the phone functions alot differently than the iphones ive had previously. I wanted a new experience and i got it. i understand what i means to have customability of your phone and use it like you want to…not being so restricted. also nice not having to hang on a jalibreak just to have tweaks on my phone or functionality i expect from my smartphone. its not perfect by all means but it works for me. i can dig it. its has similarities as the iphone as well as many other phones. but side by side iphones and adroid devices in fact operate quite differently. compare a stock iPhone 4S with current firmware to a Galaxy S3 and you will notice the difference. Has upgradable memory, widgets, more tweaks than ever out the box (rooting not needed), etc. miles ahead of what i had previously.
i still respect apple for how fluent the iOS software works but this whole lawsuit rain is getting out of control.

    • Emre SÜMENGEN

Well, noone is shunning Android (or Samsung) users… People are FREE to choose.

What you like or value much, may not be that important to others.

But, back to the point of the article: STEALING IS BAD

      • SoCoMagNuM

monopolizing is bad…not only for the businesses but for us..the consumer.

      • Emre SUMENGEN

But it is not relevant, that’s the problem… Apple is not monopolizing anything. Does Samsung have to copy Apple products? Nope! (What did they do before the iPhone?)

Monopoly happens when everyone HAS to do the one thing, and it’s not public.

Governments monopolize things. Cartels monopolize things. Innovators who want to have exclusive rights to their innovations IS NOT an example of monopoly.
