Capitalizing on the film’s mounting anticipation, Gameloft has released a teaser-trailer for its upcoming game, The Dark Knight Rises. The movie, which is set to hit theaters in late July, is expected to be one of the year’s highest-grossing pictures.
Gameloft is certainly no stranger to turning hollywood hits into mobile games. It’s done it multiple times over with films like James Cameron’s Avatar, and the more recent Men In Black III. Keep reading for a glimpse of its latest project…
IGN describes the title as an open-world adventure game. So don’t expect the Infinity Blade-style close-quarter combat found in Batman Arkham City Lockdown — a previous release by Warner Bros Studios.
But don’t worry. Judging by the above clip, the gameplay will still be impressive. So we have fairly high hopes for The Dark Knight Rises when it lands on iOS next month.
Gameloft won’t give away the game’s exact release date. But given that its box office counterpart is slated to debut July 20, we expect the title to pop up in the App Store (and Google Play, for all of you Android users) around the same time.
