Silence Notification Center alerts with DoNotDisturb

Silencing annoying audible notifications and squashing banner alerts? There’s a jailbreak tweak for that.

DoNotDisturb does exactly as its name implies — prevents Notification Center alerts from causing any disturbance.

There are no settings to configure for DoNotDistrub, though you will need to enable the tweak via the Notifications panel in the Settings app. Once enabled, you’ll see a new toggle for DoNotDisturb in Notifictaion Center.

Toggling the setting to on will prevent you from receiving alerts from Notification Center, though they will still be waiting for you the next time you open it.

The nice thing about DoNotDisturb is that it’s totally dynamic; you can enable it and disable it with ease, and the setting takes effect immediately.

    One more great and useful tweak. Just waiting MuscleNerd to release the new version of Redsn0w so I can go back to 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4S and try all this new tweaks that I’ve been seen on iDownloadBlog.

    I don’ t see the use of this , if you do not want notifications…put your phone in silence mode…

    Love your videos jeff, love this blog , but this tweak seems just useless for me .

      Silent mode doesn’t really disable notifications, it just silences them.

    does this make it so the notifications and stuff dont sound off while listening to music?

    This tweak is great. I’ve had a few occasions when I pass someone my phone and I receive a stupid txt msg from an idiot friend or something. Even worse when I’m mirroring my phone on my apple tv and everyone in my family has to see my msgs

    I just got banner disable thinking i could get the nc settings toggle. Searching donotdisturb doesnt bring anything up in cydia for me. Nor could i find it browsing modmyi’s repo. :( think they took it down? I would love to toggle this without going into settings everytime.
