  • I wanna know much Memory on it 512 or 1gb?

    • I second this, I think we are going to have to wait for iFixit to do a tear down, Apple doesn’t usually release their RAM Information. 1GB would make this perfect.

  • Howard Ellacott

    It’s not the iPad 3. It’s the 3rd Gen, New iPad 😀

  • Ram????

    • Howard Ellacott

We’ll have to wait for a strip down from iFixit or something…

Its not called the iPad 3.. Its called “The new iPad”

More stupid reasons to buy an iPad 3. Save your money people and just buy the iPad 4.

    • why dont you just wait for the iPad 5, or the iPad 6? Hey I heard the iPad X was gonna be sweet in 5 years….Just buy it. You will love it! you could say that about every product that is ever released….just get the next one. it all depends on what your upgrading from. I am retiring my 1st Gen iPad for “the new iPad” so ya its worth the upgrade for me.

    • That screen has sold it to me without even seeing it yet. Less than 10″ with better res than my HD TV. It’s gonna rock!!

      • For real! I bet no video of the iPad’s retina screen does it justice. I cannot wait to see it in person! And hold it in my hands!

Wait for 6…7…8…9! while you are at it! lol

Does anybody know whether the 4G version comes unlocked to use it with other GSM carriers than AT&T?

    • Giorgos Michaelides

I would also like to know this.
Is it available only for only US carriers or can be used with any other internationally?

      • I believe all iPad comes with Factory Unlocked that can be used for all carriers. That’s why you pay full price for iPad and not subsidized price like iPhone, which is available with locked to certain carrier. The Factory unlocked for iPhone also you have to pay full price and not subsidized.

Not worth upgrading for me. I’m sort of happy they didn’t come out with anything super amazing. That way I’m not sad to keep my iPad 2. Imo it was a bigger leap from iPad 1 to iPad 2.

Is it just me or is anyone else disappointed by the minor upgrades? I mean yeah there’s a new Retina screen and a quad core processor but is it really revolutionary? Not at all. I was waiting on buying an iPad until the new one is released, and now this is it??? C’mon Apple give me something better – a new design, slimmer profile, and new smart case, something more than just the obvious that was delivered today.

Really? A new smart cover would have sealed the deal for you? Retina Display, LTE, better optics, quad core graphics, Siri dictation, Bluetooth 4.0, personal hot spot capability, A5X, and 1080 p video were not good enough for you? lol… Wow

    • You thought a 4S was more of an upgrade than this? Perhaps I’m putting too much on the retina display but I think it’s all great news.

  • Is there siri integration?

The SD slot looks promising. I’ve been waiting for Apple to release one of these.

    • Anonymous

      Um, what SD slot?

      • Anonymous

I read the Micro SIM card wrong- fail on my part.

  • OK where the f.uck is Siri?

  • Gus Me

Ordered! Unfortunately it was for my mother in law 😛

The A5X seems to have indeed a GPU beast.
Of course it is not official, but it is speculated that it has PowerVR SGX 543MP4 (which is the same of the brand new PS Vita). That is expected, since the original A5 has PowerVR SGX 543MP2.

Sure that this doesn’t mean that iPad 3 has the same graphical capabilities of Vita (Vita has quad-core Cortex A9 and A5 has dual Cortex A9, and other variables that could provide different performance, such as RAM speed, cache size, etc), but it indicates that this tablet has huge potental in terms of graphical performance.

Let’s wait to see what developers will do in a tablet with game machine graphics performance 🙂

  • – Charging via power adapter or USB to computer system

Are all iPad capable to be charged through computers’ USB port…?
Or it is the-new-iPad-only feature ?

  • Very exciting stuff!! But just like the droids over there…. These are not the specs i am l am looking for. I have an iphone, imac, and macbook air – i dont need a tablet right now. Im guessing the ipad will draw my attention in its 5th or 6th generation.
