SiriNBA: Get NBA scores directly from Siri

By , Mar 1, 2012

This is a dream come true for sports fans, even if you don’t like the NBA. The fact that someone has finally created an addon for AssistantExtensions to allow Siri to query sports scores is a win for sports fans of every type.

This means it’s only a matter of time before you can search MLB, NFL, NCAA, and Premier League matches with Siri.

It’s called SiriNBA, and it’s the very first jailbreak tweak of its type. Check inside for our hands-on video…

Unfortunately there were no current NBA games playing at the time of my testing, so I could only retrieve future game times. It doesn’t look like you can query the scores of past games either; at least not yet.

Still, this is wonderful news for sports fans. Siri, with the help of AssistantExtensions is really starting to turn into a wonderful tool for iPhone 4S owners, and Spire users.

Head over to Cydia’s BigBoss repo where you can try it for free. Aren’t you excited?

Good start but not too useful once the game is over.

Whenever I say, “What’s the score of the Knicks game?”, it hears “next game.” :(
