Easily Dismiss Your Keyboard With Pull To Dismiss

By , Jan 2, 2012

Is your iPhone’s keyboard getting in the way? If so, then you may want to give Pull To Dismiss a try.

Pull To Dismiss is the latest jailbreak tweak from Ryan Petrich that allows you to easily dismiss your iPhone’s keyboard with a simple pull. It works similar to pull to refresh, except instead of refreshing the content on the page, it dismisses your keyboard…

Pull To Dismiss is a simple tweak with no settings or options to configure. Just install it, and you can begin dismissing your keyboard with a simple pull.

If you’re interested, you can download it for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo; it works with iOS 3.2 or higher.

It’s great overall, but I’ve noticed bugs in a few apps. In WhatsApp for instance, every time I try to change to the emoticon keyboard the keyboard slides away. It also does wierd things when using the quickreply/quick compose feature of BiteSMS.

Works great with most apps though. Would be nice if there was a SBSettings toggle to turn it off for apps that don’t like it (or already have the feature incorporated like BiteSMS)

  • Jeff,

I noticed that in the video that the microphone was in your keyboard layout, are you doing this on an iphone 4 or 4s, if 4, what tweak is installed to do voice to text dictation?

    • Tweak called siri0us. You can still find it available on certain repos.

  • How come i can’t find this tweat in Cydia

Maybe because your looking under the “tweat” section?

  • I just want rpetrich to fix the MultiSlide… Anytime I touch the slider it changes from my own language to English and then the text (Slide To Unlock, App name, etc.) is all the way on the left and almost invisible. Also if battery decreases under 20% and I want to unlock it’s impossible and it just freezes on the lockscreen with repeating sound of unlocking 🙁
If someone could forward these problems to Ryan Petrich it would be awesome
