SuperMusic is a jailbreak tweak that aims to add more options to the music controls that appear on your Lock screen.

In addition to the basic back, pause/play, and forward buttons, SuperMusic adds fast-forward, rewind, stop, shuffle, and a full track listing of your music library right on your Lock screen.

Check out the video inside to see how it works in action…

As you can see, SuperMusic, while certainly a valiant attempt, needs a little work on the design front.

It’s a good idea, but it simply crams too many options on the Lock screen at once. Hopefully further updates will resolve the aesthetic issues, because otherwise this could be a handy tweak.

SuperMusic can be picked up on Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $1.00, and works with jailbroken devices on iOS 4.1 or higher. Let us know what you think about it in the comments below.

this is probably one of the most best music tweaks i have ever had its better the pop pod. the only thing i dont like about it is the few options you have and it needs more visual structure. but other then that its a 9/10

  • DebTym

how come there’s an icon that overlaps with each other?

    • prplaya420

      what do you mean?

      • SJ

fast forward is overlapped with airplay?

  • Sean

    It’s ugly

I second that it, it’s seriously FUGLY not to mention the fact it, imo, is 1 of the worst implementations originally by Apple now that they added the camera icon to the lockscreen, everytime I want the camera button to show I have to look at the iPod controls aswell which look shit and not only that but i don’t want to see them at the same time, this tweak has the airplay button overlapped by the forward track aswell whcih looks terrible !!!

its kinda ugly but its better then most music tweaks.

How do we get this on our phone this looks pretty cool but don’t know where to find it or what to do. Please help I’d like to check this out

  • DomPerignon

Me either. I don’t care about having the music options on the lockscreen; besides this app is very, very ugly.

    OMG this sucks ass!!

There is only 1 control missing from Apple’s lockscreen design and that is the “30s Rewind” button.

The buttons doesn’t respond to presses at their exact point, when scrolling through the list it suddenly quits the list view. It’s messy, the shuffle button works sporadically. In other words, a dollar wasted. Looking forward to updates though.

button works perfectly… list quits because of media controls go away if you leave it without touching it for 10 seconds… shuffle also works perfectly….

      • Jacob Nørgaard

Okay so I installed it again. And no, buttons do NOT respong perfectly. In order to skip to next track, I have to press the upper left area of a “sqaure” about the skip-button – not the actual middle of it which would be logical.

And the list goes away, even if I am scrolling through. I have to select a new track each <10 sec or I have to make the list appear again AND scroll from the top.

You can't really see if shuffle is on/off. Press it. Music stops. Start music. Click next. It's not shuffling. Press shuffle. Music stops. Start music, click next, STILL not shuffling. Repeating makes it shuffle at was seems to be random. This has been replicated on two seperate devices now (both iPhone 4 GSM).

you dont need to tap the list.. you need to tap the clock area once i guess… idk it works perfectly for me… i dont have any problems… and anyways.. the interface can be fixed easily with an update i am sure the dev will do it 🙂

  • Jas God

ugly ass interface- clean that up and I’ll purchase.

  • Binary-Stalker
