Introducing the World’s Tallest and Most Expensive iPod Speaker Dock

What’s 11 feet tall and costs $565,000? The world’s tallest and most expensive iPod dock, of course.

The AeroDream One isn’t your typical iPod dock. Created by musician and entrepreneur Jean Michel Jarre, the AeroDream One packs a 10,000 watt stereo system that’s sure to agitate the neighbors.

This stupendous all-in-one iDevice dock stands at a comfortable 11 foot height, weighing a reasonable 871 pounds. The contraption comes with a ladder to help you reach the top for docking your iDevice, and we’re hoping that it comes with a remote for controlling your playlist from the couch.

Multiple devices can be connected to the AeroDream One through the tower’s stereo minijack, XLR, and USB ports. The dock is meant for the audio buff with a spare chunk of change, obviously.

“With the progress of technology, the conditions of recording music in the studio have advanced considerably, whereas the means of listening in general have not ceased to regress: the vinyl has been replaced by the CD, largely inferior in quality, which has now given way to even more low-grade MP3 files. We have progressively lost our emotional rapport with sound.”

Where the AeroDream One really stands out is its five amplifiers. The custom-built tower consists of a subwoofer, two midrange, and two high end speakers rated from 25Hz to 20kHz. We’re sure that Dr. Dre is first in line to pre-order one of these bad boys.

Speaking of pre-orders, the dock’s creator, Jean Michel Jarre, is already taking pre-orders from interested customers. Since each AeroDream is custom made (available in chrome, black or white colors), Jarre promises delivery within the next 6 months for those that pre-order now. Buyers will also receive two VIP tickets to Jarre’s ‘World Tour plus’ event to meet the creator in person.

If the 565K price tag is a little too pricey, or if you happen to not have a lofted ceiling, the AeroSystem One mini-tower will only run you $1,140.
