CineSkates Camera Sliders Help iPhone Cinematographers Take Time-Lapse Videos

If you’re a regular reader of iDownloadBlog, chances are you’ve noticed that we love a good Kickstarter project. The latest iPhone-related project to come across our radar is the CineSkate Slider project.

Using three rollerskate-type fixings, the CineSkates attaches to a tripod and offers a way for photographers and cinematographers to take great movement-based shots, without the need for expensive equipment. And yes, this includes the iPhone, too…

“What are CineSkates?
CineSkatesâ„¢ are a set of three wheels that quickly attach to a tripod and enable fluid, rolling video in an ultra-portable package. Watch the video to see what they are capable of… CineSkates were used to film it!

CineSkates work specifically with the GorillaPod Focus tripod. A ballhead is also required… most small, strong ballheads will work great. Fortunately, JOBY, the maker of GorillaPod Focus and Ballhead X has agreed to include their products in the CineSkates System at a generous price!”

The project has already met its $20,000 target, and project owner Justin Jensen will happily take your order for $150. A full kit, including the GorillaPod Focus and JOBY ballhead, is also available.
