Minutes ago, Apple updated iTunes to version 10.4.1. Apple initially released iTunes 10.4 to bring full screen support in Lion to its media software.

Version 10.4.1 of iTunes doesn’t bring much but the usual bug fixes. We have the full change log below…

  • Fixes a problem where the media keys on some third-party keyboards work inconsistently with iTunes
  • Addresses issues with adding artwork to songs and videos
  • Resolves an issue which may cause iTunes to become unresponsive when purchasing an HD movie
  • Fixes a problem where iTunes may take longer than expected to open after waking your Mac from sleep
  • Addresses issues with VoiceOver support

I updated to the latest version and can confirm that it is safe for jailbroken devices.

You can update directly via iTunes or by downloading from Apple’s website.

  • This Jailbreak iTunes 10.4.1 will make jailbreak even on iPhone 5? I don’t read in your review and I’m thinking about this question..? It could be possible?

    • Ugh

LMAO wtf did you write there, that makes absolutely no sense.

    • AMB

iTunes is used to manage all the media on the iPhone, You CANNOT jailbreak an iPhone with it. What they say here is that you can use this version of iTunes on a iPhone that ALREADY has a jailbreak.

And no you probably wont be able to use this version of iTunes with the iphone 5 because Apple always updates iTunes when a new iphone/ipod/ipad is out.

    Thanks for the info Seb.

Idk wat version of itunes im on but it says it cant read my content on my jailbroken ipod touch 4 running 4.3.3…Help Please

  • tommesti

you have to jailbreak itunes with blackra1n to be able to jailbreak the iphone 4 ios 4.3.5, i’m pretty shore of that, hope it helped you guys 🙂

ask me anything i can answer anytime!

    • nova

why the heck would anyone ask you anything you clearly have no idea what itunes or blackra1n are.

      • tommesti

you on the other hand do not either!

all excperienced jailbreakers know that YOU HAVE to jailbreak itunes before jailbreaking the idevice because if u do not then apple.com will not allow syncing of apps!

    • Nova

you on the third hand do not seem to be as experienced as you claim to be. actually you sound like a newbie, no offense. ‘apple.com’? please, that’s not a program – that’s called a website.

iTunes allows syncing of all apps, illegal or legal. it’s the iDevice that runs the check for illegal/legal. That’s why only the device needs to be jailbroken to install cracked/illegal apps.

I’m sorry if I shut your argument down but it had to be done. People might get to know the wrong information.

I have a BIG problem. I erased all content and settings from my 3GS and now (and of course), I’m not able to do anything. I have done everything I can, however, nothing worked for me.

    please HELP!

    • Nova

you’re not able to do ANYTHING? please elaborate. you can’t start the phone up? or you can’t restore your data?

it’s hard for people to provide a solution when they don’t know the problem lol

      • JLC

I did it already. Thanks anyway. I restore to 4.3.5 using tiny umbrella with tss server going on, and after that, I used the new redsnow to make the jailbreak.

    • Nova

if you had the 4.3.3 SHSH you could’ve jailbroken untethered… but if your 3GS has the older bootrom of course it doesn’t matter :p

but if it IS the newer bootrom and your jailbreak is tethered, I highly recommend downgrading to 4.3.3 if it’s possible.

    • Nova

oh and restoring to 4.3.5 wouldn’t have needed the TSS server since it’s the latest public release anyway.
