15 Year-Old Gains World Record For Fastest Typing on an iPad

Remember when Apple announced the iPad way back in early 2010, and everyone said that typing on the tablet’s 9.7″ screen would be near-impossible?

Well, it turns out that over a year later, not only is it very possible, but one Georgian boy can even knock out the full English alphabet in just over 5 seconds.

5.26 seconds, to be exact…

The 15 year-old boy, who just so happens to be the first child of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, achieved a world record by beating the previous best by a whopping 1.05 seconds – and he only needed one hand to do it!

Eduard Saakashvili achieved the feat while at the resort of Batumi, situated on the Black Sea. If you’re going to break a pointless record, might as well do it in style, eh?

Understandably, Eduard was rather pleased with his achievement, as was his family, according to Fox News.

“I am very happy,” Eduard said in comments broadcast by Georgian TV after the finger-busting exploit, explaining that he spent months getting ready for the unusual event.

“Our whole family has been nervous. I am a very proud mummy today,” then president’s Dutch wife, Sandra Roelofs, said.”

Next up, well have President Obama’s offspring attempting to jailbreak the White House iPad in record time. JailbreakMe should help with that.
