TrickSlide is yet another entry into the TweakWeek series of iPhone jailbreak tweaks. Although the name may sound cunning and cutting edge, at the end of the day, this is nothing more than a glorified WinterBoard theme, without actually having to use WinterBoard.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but this same functionality can, and has been easily accomplished in the past by use of clever WinterBoard theming.

All that TrickSlide aims to do is to hide your “Slide to Unlock” nub on your iPhone’s lock screen; nothing more, nothing less…

While it may seem tricky at first, anyone that knows their way out of a wet paper bag will inevitably be able to figure out how to unlock your iPhone with TrickSlide installed.

In other words, don’t go into it for the trick, go into it for the looks.

TrickSlide is available fror free on Cydia if you have a jailbroken iPhone. It may not be in the default repos as of yet, so try adding Ryan’s repo located at the following address: http://rpetri.ch/repo/

    Pointless if u ask me

  • I must have been in a bad mood when I wrote this, sounds a bit harsh.

    • STK10

      Winterboard fan boy! lol

      • Oddly enough, I actually don’t like WinterBoard that much.

Jeff, what is your Tweeter name? You are extremely knowledge!

    • Unfortunately, that’s the mantra of TweakWeek.. Quick and easy tweaks that can be done in less than 24 hours. That means the quality isn’t going to be as high as normal tweaks in most circumstances.

    • @aplepi, but I use @JailbreakMovies the most as of late.

  • Mick

Would be nice if they focused on useful tweaks lol

    • STK10

Do you know of any? im bored

  • Nice and simple. But Move2Unlock is still easily my favorite tweak to change how unlocking works.

  • GrEdDy

My iPhone would not unlock after I installed I kept swiping until it unlocked…

  • Any Body

This TrickSlide feature reminds me of the old saying…..

“Just because you ‘CAN’ does not mean that you ‘should’!!!”

  • BLiNK

works about every 10 swipes. Fail

  • Jarrod

I find that I don’t swipe from where the button used to be, it’s from the edge of the screen itself.

  • Andika

one badly executed tweak. i’m having a hard time unlocking my iPhone. Jarrod is right, you should swipe it from the edge of your screen.

  • DomPerignon

Lockinfo has a setting which hides the lock slider completely and the invisible slider works 100% of the time. It’s a much better tweak than this one.

  • Why can not I slide that I did not choose as the place where the pinch?

    My iPad wont unlock
