Well, well, well… look who we have here. Could that be the father of jailbreaking himself, Jay “saurik” Freeman, sitting in line for Apple’s World Wide Develepors Conference?

Yes, that is saurik. Freeman is apparently in attendance for Apple’s developer conference this week, and he’s already in line at The Moscone Center. First Peter Hajas gets hired by Apple, now this? Pretty soon we’ll see Steve Jobs talk about jailbreaking during a keynote…

A big thanks to Matthew of The Next Web for spotting Freeman and snapping this pic.

I’d love to see an image of saurik walking through the front door of The Moscone Center tomorrow with his famous “Reloading Data” t-shirt. What about you?

  • Danielcg

Lol, he should wear the reloading data t-shirt or a Cydia t-shirt 😛

    • Mripod64

      I would 😉

  • I was also in line all night last year, was like #3 (thanks to @MxWeas), and proudly wore my shirts all week ;P.

    • Wow! The great saurik!!! Welcome man

    • Awesome! 🙂

    • Cameron

      Is that really saurik?

      • Mripod64

Yes it is really him 🙂

My Cydia gives me this error on every start up http://twitpic.com/559ozg ,works tho. I have just updated to iOS 4.3.3(JB RS). Before upgrade I had iOS 4.2.1(JB RS tethered). And my phone start to come unstable and Cydia stop working all to gether(same error messages I think). When I update I used PKGBackup and restored(thats why those errors follow). But I dont want to install all things and repos again.
    PLEASE HELP

    • Telejeesus

      I also CAN’T delete those repos 🙁
(I can delete like 3 of 20 repos

Why would anyone line up early for WWDC? Never had any reason to do that back when I was going to it regularly. It’s not like Oprah’s leaving you presents but only if you’re in the first few rows …

    • Eric

So you don’t get stuck on a runoff room and have to watch on video

  • Aaronieru

How do you get off calling him the “father of jailbreaking”? He didn’t invent hacking. He never even hacked the iPhone. He just runs one of the many JB installers the iPhone has had, and it wasn’t even the first one. Has he contributed greatly to the community? Yes, but the real credit goes to the actual hackers that do the dirty work and get your iPhone jailbroken.

    • Eric

Agree 100%. Same thought when I read that. Terrible opening paragragh.

    • I love IOS

withoUt cydia , hacked iphone just another piece of thrash unless the public know how to make those Cydia ‘installers’ themselve

      • Aaronieru

Without Cydia, there would simply be a different installer. Installers are replaceable, jailbreaks are not. And that still has nothing to do with what I said. He is still in no way shape or form the “father of jailbreaking”.

  • Arun

is the WWDC going to be streamed live on apple.com like last year?

    • Eric

It wasn’t last year. You’re thinking of a special event they held after the whole HTML 5/Flash uprising.

Sorry for the multiple posts. It kept telling me that my post had failed. This site has been seriously glitchy lately.
