If you’ve been jailbreaking for a while, you’re probably an expert in saving your SHSH blobs. The task is fairly simple and enables you to downgrade to a working firmware, if you ever upgrade and things go wrong.

While many consider the cost of an iPhone expensive, the freedom to make it yours is priceless. If you recently updated to iOS 4.3.3, you’re certainly going to want to make sure and backup your SHSH blobs…

Luckily, your favorite utility has been updated to join in on the 4.3.3 fun. TinyUmbrella now allows you to save your SHSH blobs, from any of your iDevices running iOS 4.3.3 (or 4.2.8 CDMA).

TinyUmbrella v4.33 supports both Mac and Windows platforms, and can be downloaded here. It’s as easy as launching the app with your iDevice plugged in, and clicking Save. No matter how you choose to do it, please people, backup your SHSH blobs.

If you’re wondering what in the heck an SHSH blob is, try reading this post.

What’s your preferred way of saving your blobs?

same issue as the last update though, won’t send shsh to cydia, only saves locally

  • iKing

Does cydia still automatically saves shsh blobs? Or do we have to choose the apple option?

    • Kickstar13

As we’ve stated before, whenever you save your SHSH using TinyUmbrella, a copy of the SHSH is AUTOMATICALLY sent to Cydia. Saurik needs to update Cydia servers to show that you’ve saved the SHSH blob for that firmware. It usually takes a while.

  • vik071

Actually, this time around it seems that it has not sent update to Cydia at all.

  • old money

saurik and his servers are slow as fuk updating shit… im bout to download icy

  • Mick

It doesnt work for sending to cydia, with that box checked you get the message in log saying it has not saved it for 4.3.3 and sent to cydia because you are just too late, all it does currently is save to your computer.

    Hi Cody,

How come I am getting the message that you are too late for the shsh? I am trying to get hold of shsh for 4.3.3, considering the tinyumbrella is released just a few days back and even 4.3.3 was released a week or so, how come its stopped so soon?

Is there any other way of getting that?

TinyUmbrella won’t let you save your shsh to cydia, you will have to uncheck the box that says “send to cydia” or whatever it says, save your settings and reopen TinyUmbrella then it will save it to your computer only. Apple haven’t stopped signing 4.3.3, they don’t stop signing until a new firmware comes out, the issue is with TinyUmbrella sending to cydia, just save it to your computer until it works for cydia.

Oh good, I thought it was just me. I don’t see a box called “send to Cydia” to uncheck – do you mean “Request SHSH from Cydia”?

Actually, does it matter whether you uncheck it? TU still seems to have saved a lib.win.jar file under “.cache” and another file under “.known devices” locally – are these the SHSHs I need?

  • Percy

I forgot to save the SHSH blob for 4.3.2. Am I missing something?

  • What’s Happening i am new to this, I stumbled upon this I’ve found It positively useful and it has aided me out loads. I hope to contribute & help other users like its helped me. Great job.
