The Apple Store is down right now, and that usually means one of two things; maintenance, or a new product launch.
Seeing as today is March 2, we’re going with answer number 2 — new product launch. It’s been confirmed by Apple that their scheduled media event for today will revolve around the new iPad 2.
There’s been tons of speculation so far on what changes we could see for the iPad, but since we’re iDB, we’re really looking forward to the event to see if Apple gives us a sneak preview of iOS 5.
It’s very likely we’ll see iOS 5 this summer with the launch of the iPhone 5. Stay tuned to iDB throughout the day, as we’ll have the full details on any iPhone news that comes out of the event.
