It seems like every day tiny bits of information trickle out concerning the Verizon iPhone 4. Now it looks like we’re finally getting somewhere, with full pricing information managing to leak out today.

Here is a full breakdown of the iPhone 4’s pricing structure on the Verizon network. Unsurprisingly, it closely resembles the prices found on AT&T

This morning, Apple inadvertently posted the Verizon iPhone’s details and made it available for order, only to realize their mistake and take it down.

Here is a breakdown of that information, coupled with what else we’ve been finding out since the Verizon iPhone was announced.

Hardware

Initially there will be two models, both black, in 16GB (Model MC676LL/A) and 32GB (Model MC678LL/A) models. These iPhones will be priced at $199.99 for 16GB and $299.99 for 32GB with a new 2-year contract agreement.

Purchasing your iPhone 4 at full retail price is pricey, but may be the route you want to take in order to avoid being locked into a 2-year agreement. They will be available at full price at $649.99 for the 16GB model, and $749.99 for the 32GB model.

Voice

The individual plans will consist of 450 minutes for $39.99 monthly, 900 minutes for $59.99 a month with unlimited calling for up to 5 people, and $69.99 for outright unlimited calling.

Family SharePlans start at $69.99 for 700 minutes, with 1400 minutes, 2000 minutes and unlimited available for $89.99, $99.99, and $119.99 respectively.

Data

A data package is of course required, but the good news is that the data is unlimited, at least initially. That will set you back $29.99.

You can also use the personal hotspot feature for an extra $20 a month for 2GB of pooled data. Each extra GB of data costs an additional $20.

Messaging

As far as SMS messaging goes, there will be a 250, 500, and unlimited allotment coming in at $5, $10, and $20 respectively.

Putting it all together

So, what does all of this mean to you, the consumer? Well it means that any hopes that Verizon’s acquisition of the iPhone 4 would make prices more competitive, seems to have gone out the window.

If anything, Verizon’s iPhone 4 is the more expensive option when you figure in lack of rollover minutes, differences in texting plans, etc.

So lets say you’re a single person that wants the full experience:

That’s $299.99 for a 32GB iPhone 4, $69.99 for unlimited calling, $29.99 for unlimited data, $20 for 2GB’s of monthly hotspot, and $20 for unlimited texting. That equals out to be about $139.98 before taxes for monthly charges.

Add in the price of the phone, and your first month’s bill is looking to be around $439.97 before any taxes, activation fees, etc.

And don’t forget the price of cases, charges, and screen protectors, and plenty of apps!

Who’s ready for some iPhone 4 on Verizon goodness?

wouldn’t it just be cheaper to get the phone on contract for 299$ and then cancel your contract for like 300$. that’s still less than 750$. ?? am I wrong here?

    • egfga

      $50 less.

    • AppleBits

I’m with you. I would totally go that route. Besides, I don’t know if they still do it or not, but my last experience with V was that the longer I was with them, the lesser my ETF was. Not by much, but as you said, it’s still cheaper than paying full price for the phone/no contract.

in the uk on a two year price plan that im on with an iphone 4 32gb:

    £59 for the hardware
£60 a month for 3000/unlimited texts/1gb of network data and 1gb of BT openzone wifi

first bill would be roughly £65, the hardware cost is paid instore! so ok, the uk doesnt get *unlimited data and it also depends which network your with to price plans etc but the cost on verizon would be around £276.89 here! massive difference! maybe the uk networks need to sort out the 3g coverage and give us unlimited data as well 😉 not capped

    • AppleBits

      K. Seriously, I’ve literally spent HOURS AND HOURS researching these blogs and posts for those kind of answers. Only when I’ve done THAT, do I post a question in the forum for help.
Now that I’ve scolded you…..sorry about that…still sharin’ the Apple/jailbreak love here…Cydia has been working on some cool upgrades. I am currently able to log on, but yesterday and today I am getting weird data error messages. But it still seems to work fine for me otherwise. 🙂

    • BLiNK

i am having the same issue and my springboard is crashing as well, you?

      • AppleBits

My springboard was crashing A LOT when I had PkgBackup installed. Once removed, not an issue. Not saying PkgBackup was the total problem, but obviously some conflict going on that was resolved by removing it.

  • Dodgerdeezy

What’s the pricing plan for T-Mobile? Lol

  • Roli

my springboard doesn’t crashes… cydia doesn’t show up the instaled files, sources, shsh files saved, packages etc…it just shows the main page… I wonder why… If anyone can help pls do it…I really apreciate it. Sorry again for off topic

No longer interested in Verizon iPhone, sad to say. No multi-tasking, over-priced (compared with AT&T) and I hear CDMA will drain the battery. Boo!

    • There will be multi-tasking, just not simultaneous talk and internet.

  • BLiNK

Roli, go the the forum. i started a thread in the jailbreaking section. hopefully we’ll get some help there

  • Roli

Verizon is way too pricey and that first bill is outrageous in these hard times that’s just stupid just steal the phone and activate it under someonelses identity and run up the bill till they disconnect you lol!!

  • Marco

My company has negotiated deal with AT&T- I have the 450 mins/ unlimited data/200 texts paying $67.00 after taxes. Great 3G coverage in my area. No way I will switch to VZ.
