What an exciting day! First the news that GreenPois0n will be released on Sunday. Then we learned that GreenPois0n will only work for the iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G, and finally, the news fell that Comex is working on his own jailbreak for iPhone 3GS.
One question about the GreenPoison jailbreak remains… Will it be a tethered jailbreak, or an untethered jailbreak?
On one side we’ve got Chpwn telling us that the tethered status of GreenPois0n is a surprise. My take on it is that these guys wouldn’t want to give us a “bad surprise” on Sunday when GreenPois0n is released. If it was untethered, they’d set the expectations low right away by telling us it is indeed untethered. This makes me believe it will be an untethered jailbreak.
On the other side, we’ve got iPhone hacker Veence who clearly said on Twitter that GreenPois0n will be untethered.
So while this wasn’t officially confirmed by MuscleNerd or a member of the Chronic Dev Team, I strongly believe GreenPois0n will be untethered. What do you think?
