MiTube: A Jailbreak App in the App Store

MiTube is a new app in the App Store that allows you to stream and most importantly download videos from YouTube to your iPhone. Some of you will probably remember a similar app in Cydia that was called MxTube, which was actually developed by the same guy, Max Weisel.

Something tells me MiTube won’t stay in the App Store for too long, so get on it while you. Oh, and it’s free. No more excuse for not downloading MiTube.

    it’s not gone! i just redownloaded it to my desktop iTunes just now. @ least in the US iTunes it’s still available… any1 else unable to find it?

    @jordan ya you can, but the MiTube app lets you download any vid you want. :)

    @griff… no it’s not. still there as of now. i’m lookin @ it and readin the reivews on it via desktop iTunes.

    It shows up in AppStore but when u try to download. It states the software is not available

    hmm… still acting fine for me, it has let me re-download it as many times as i want. just did it again now. maybe it’s in the process of taking it down so it says that for some & not others.

    It’s gone. I can find it with a search, but clicking on it says it’s not available in the US Store.

    YourTube is cooler anyway. It just modifies the built in YouTube app to allow you to download the videos and view them offline. High Quality mode is supported too.

    damn. missed it. in really got excited for a second. i jailbroke my iphone 4 mainly for this function and the cydia apps i used (yourtube and mxtube) were not compatible with the new os. fiddlestix!!!!

    It’s on installeus or whatever it’s called. Use the second download source as the first one didn’t work for me. It is better than mxtube. It let’s u also download HD :)

    How do i install installous on my iphone???? ;-) but will not be possible to upload mitube on cydia so we can get it from there directly?

    There are 2 sources in the installous, one of them works! The other one installs it, but the app crashes on ios 4.0.1

    Go to cydia to add source.
    Manage-source-edit-add-http://cydia.hackulo.us/
    (it will prompt a warning just ignore and add anyway.
    When you done,go into the source and install Hackulous security,source GUI and installous.
    Its done and it will be on your springboard.

    You can always use the app – downloads – I’ve been using it for 5/6 months now, it’s not free but it works and you can download all sorts of file formats.

      Installous depend on all those simply install instalous from that source and it will install all nessesary package for installous

    Do not update your installous you will lose the ability to download cracked ipas, it will take you to the AppStore. I made this mistake and now have no installous.

    I have an alternative method, if any of you guys are familiar with installous, you can search MiTube from there and download it through them. They still have it and should have it for a while. Make sure go download the one that was uploaded by spooky-arm. It’s the only working one. Good luck guys!
