I found this on Twitter today. I thought it was kinda funny and cute. Watch out Dev Team, this little girl is coming after you, hehe.

How to Read Saved Web Pages in iBooks
Patrick from Just Another iPad Blog shared a nice tip about how to save web pages for reading in iBooks.
Have you ever started reading a long article on the web and thought that it would be great to be able to read it in iBooks on the iPad? If so, did you know it’s quite easy (on a Mac) to print a web page as a PDF to iTunes and read it later on the iPad (or iPhone) in iBooks?
Well … it is. Read on for a quick rundown on how it’s done …
This little trick requires a few steps, so instead of copy/pasting what Patrick wrote, I suggest you go check out his article.
Is Apple Becoming Sloppy?
As the holder of a Masters in Advertising, I've always appreciated Apple's marketing machine. No matter what you think about the firm from Cupertino, you have to admit their PR and marketing machine is perfectly oiled. Every word, every product have been thought through to deliver the exact message Steve Jobs & Friends want you to receive.
Lately though, I think Apple kinda lost control of their PR/Marketing machine showing the oh-so-perfect company can be sloppy at times. Here is what I think Apple screwed up in the last couple months.
1. Apple announces the iPhone 4, which will supposedly come in black and white.
2. Rumors going around say the iPhone won't be available in white at launch. Strangely, Apple doesn't even deem it necessary to communicate on this.
3. On the iPhone 4 pre-order day, Apple just let us find out by ourselves the white iPhone wasn't available. Lame.
4. Apple finally decides to speak up and admits the white iPhone won't be available until mid-July.
5. In the meantime many people start reporting having problems with the iPhone 4 antenna.
6. Steve Jobs sends a cocky reply to the iPhone 4 antenna complainers telling them they don't know how to hold their phones and they should buy a case.
7. Apple admits the problem comes from the formula used to display bars. They say they will release a software update that will fix this.
8. Apple holds a special event where they pretty much confirm there is no problem with the iPhone 4 antenna. Because there is no problem, they will give away free cases. Wait, what?
9. On the same day, Steve Jobs says the white iPhone will start shipping at the end of July.
10. A few days later, Apple says in a 2-sentence statement that the white iPhone 4 will not be available until later this year.
I think there were communication mistakes on Apple's part. These antenna and white iPhone episodes could have been killed since day one if they had sent the appropriate information instead of staying silent and closed out.
But hey, at the end of the day, I've got my black iPhone 4 which I love, and I also get a free Bumper. So no, I'm not complaining, I'm just laying down facts from the last few weeks.
What do you think?
Turn Your iPad Into An Arcade Game Console
This guy managed to turn his iPad into an arcade game console, apparently using a Wii (although I could be wrong on that one). It's pretty sick. Load up some PacMan ;)
iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock to Be Released at the Same Time
In a tweet sent today, MuscleNerd confirmed that the iPhone 4 unlock is ready now but it will only be released whenever the Spirit jailbreak is done, debugged and packaged.
A little earlier, PlanetBeing had sent a similar tweet stating that "we're gonna be able to give you an unlock with the jailbreak".
At this point, there is no doubt all the Dev Team is waiting for is Comex to finish up the work on Spirit, which release should be imminent.
There's been a lot of waiting for the jailbreak and unlock but it seems there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Dev Team obviously doesn't make us wait on purpose. They simply want to make sure the finished product will be bug free and stable.
Go Dev Team!
LG Can't Meet the iPad Demand
LG, the manufacturer of the iPad display, said yesterday that even though it's currently running at full capacity, the company won't be able to meet Apple's demand.
"Demand keeps growing and we can't meet it all" said LG CEO Kwon Young-soo talking about Apple's iPad. He added that "overall supply is likely to remain tight until early next year". The executive admitted that LG won't be available to meet the demand until the second quarter of 2011.
The iPad launched in 9 more countries today so this won't make the situation any better. "Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand" said an LG executive to Reuters.
If you want an iPad for Christmas, you'd better get on the waiting list now...

iOS 4 Installed On 50% of iPhones
A recent survey by online ad network Chitika reveals that 50% of iPhones are now running iOS 4. iOS 3 is installed on 49% of iPhones, while the 1% remaining still runs the older iOS 2.
Looking more deeply, iOS 4.0 – the version released on June 21st – is the dominant single version at 44.5%. Version 4.0.1 – the latest official release for the iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPhone 4 – clocks in at only 5% of the market, not surprising given that it was released less than a week ago.
Seeing how slow iOS 4 can make your iPhone 3G, I understand why that many people didn't update. Another reason might be that people want to keep their jailbreak. I'd be curious to know if iOS 4 adoption goes up once Spirit is released sometimes in the next few days.
What iOS version are you running on your iPhone?
Saurik Teases Us With His Jailbroken iPhone 4
The guys over at Make It Work were lucky enough to sit down with Saurik, the developer of Cydia, for a few minutes and talk to him about the current iPhone 4 jailbreak situation.
Saurik confirmed that an iPhone 4 jailbreak will be released in the near future, and that Comex, MuscleNerd, and PlanetBeing are working hard on it.
Getting Saurik on video is a pretty rare event so I suggest you check it out.

Huge iPad Numbers!
During the 3rd quarter of 2010, Apple sold 3.27 million units.
To put that into context, that’s only 200,000 fewer units than their entire Mac division sold. And it was the best Mac sales quarter ever.
Considering the iPad wasn't for sale for a full quarter, it's safe to say that iPad sales will blow past Mac sales next quarter...
