iOS 4 Unlock for All Basebands Available

That was quick. It was so quick that this iOS 4 unlock for all iPhone basebands even came before an official jailbreak for the latest firmware.

UPDATE: There is now a jailbreak for the iPhone 3G on iOS 4.

In a tweet sent to their followers today, the Dev Team released UltraSn0w 0.93 that will unlock basebands 04.26.08 thru 05.13.04. Yes, that means that UltraSn0w will unlock the following basebands:

  • 04.26.08
  • 05.11.07
  • 05.12.01
  • 05.13.04

This is exactly the reason why I told jailbreakers and unlockers to hold off on updating to iOS 4. If you haven’t updated to the latest firmware then you will be able to install UltraSn0w via Cydia.

If on the other end you have already updated to iOS 4, then rejoice because the Dev Team will update their jailbreaking tools (namely RedSn0w and PwnageTool) so you can jailbreak iOS 4. If you have an iPhone 3G on iOS, you can jailbreak by following these instructions.

Here are the instructions to unlock your iPhone:

  1. Make sure your iPhone is jailbroken.
  2. Go to Cydia and search for “ultrasn0w”. If you can’t find it, add the following repo: repo666.ultrasn0w.com
  3. Install UltraSn0w.
  4. Reboot your iPhone.
  5. Done!

    wow…You guys keep getting better and better every time! *Genius* I have a 3G Iphone on version 3.1.3, jailbroken but not unlocked! but as clearly stated, I followed the steps n BAM!* my Iphone was unlocked in a jiffy! I’m in Honduras on a quick vacation n I really needed to unlock my iphone, now I just inserted a local SIM-CARD and was able to make a phone call on the go!

    @Ditz, you may insert your sim then if theres a signal it means its ok.

    You can now jailbreak and unlock iOS 4 all versions. use Redsn0w 0.9.5 beta 4 or 5 for windows or mac this works like a charm no glitches whatsoever. it also asks you if you want to enable multitasking and the wallpapers for lock and home screen.

    Do you guys have problem after the u drain the battery the iphone goes on a YELLOW screen if u charge it directly to an outlet? it does work if i plug to a computer.

    hey guys… my iphone was put on aeroplane mode by accident, and then i clicked out of it and locked my iphone. When i slide to enter my iphone it asks for a passcode, and i have no idea how the passcode got there because i dont use passcodes and i have tried numerious passcodes but i am afraid it might get disabled.

    I have found out that if i restore my iphone to version 1os4 which it already was it will work but the problem is my iphone 3g 8gb is callbarred or something like that so i have to wait for the offical unlock to come out like blackra1n but unortunately that doesnt work so is there any other alternatives which you can help me on please….

    Itd be much appreciated if any ideas or clues. At the moment it still asks for the passcode which i have no idea what it is..so what can i do from further onwards…??

    i just wanna say one thing to jiffer riffic….i live in canada bitch…also i believe the whole purpose of unlocking is not to use your lousy fuking at and t network so goodluck retrieving info when know one is using your simcard lol

    Hey Guys, I’ve just jailbreaked my iphone 3g ios 4 baseband 05.13.04 and I’m currently trying to unlock it as well using ultrasn0w. I launched cydia and added repo666.ultrasn0w.com and installed ultrasn0w however it’s still locked. I reinstalled ultrasn0w many times after disabling 3g and resetting network settings however the problem still persist. Will be thankful for your help!

    I found some instructions but it always end up saying that I have to use Pwnagetool. How the heck can I use Pwnagetool if it for Mac’s and Window’s??? Also is there a better way to jailbreak my iPhone 3Gs running iOS 4 on it?

    I am going to the UK in a few days – hoping to put an O2 Pay&Go SIM in my iPhone 3G while I’m there.

    Can I unlock my iPhone now and continue using AT&T until I get to London? Or do I need to wait until I’m ready to switch carriers before unlocking?

    If it’s not painfully obvious, I’m new to this.

    YOU FIXED MY iPhone! I was literally moments from throwing it into the trash (or an Apple Store window) due to the fact that “Internet Tethering” continued to run and was preventing any wi-fi connection. “Network Restore,” ” Full Restore,”both performed on the device and “Erase and Restore to 4.0.1″ through iTunes failed to correct the problem nor did any of the possible fixes mentioned on Apple’s website. The iPhone would not recognize any wireless network except a false one called “SETUP.”
    Establishing a computer to computer network while attached to the USB cable may have helped, but that was after it was jail-broken. Jail breaking with redsn0w didn’t stop the “Internet Tethering” “spinning wheel of death”, but wifi began working properly. Unlocking the phone stopped it . Your products seemed to have actually fixed a known and fairly common bug with “Internet Tethering” crashing and taking out wifi with it. Thank you so much for all of your great work. I hope you find financial success through your good deeds.
    Note to all others- READ THE MAN’S INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

    iPhone 3G>3.3 >then to 4.0.1>(4.0 redsn0w(ed) installed)>ultrasn0w(ed)=it works now.

    I have installed ultrasn0w 1.1-1, but can’t get the phone unlocked.

    I have tried to search ultrasn0w 0.93 but can’t find, all im getting is 1.1-1.

    Is it like only 0.93 version can unlock the 4.0 and 5.13.04 and ultrasnow 1.1-1 can not ?

    Help me guys…im in kinda quagmire
    will highly appreciate any help.

    I do not have wifi on my iphone 3g. M trying to unlock without wifi. I created IPSW 4.0 with snowbreeze along with ultrasnow (the IPSW now has ultrasnow in itself) and than transferred it to my iphone. The iphone was jailbroken, cydia installed with ultrasnow. There are options to modify or delete the package of ultrasnow from cydia but still my iphone is showing no service. i do not have wifi so i cannot connect to internet. Plz help me out. M in great trouble. Its been 3 days since i spoke to my girlfriend
