I Guess Geohot is Not Working on an Untethered Jailbreak After All

Yes they are up to something! they are porting Pwnagetool to Windows and going to release a new redsn0w and it will support 3.1.2 (head over to musclenerd’s twitter)

GeoHot has stopped to work on iPhone since a few months. And do on PS3 underground now.

Blackra1n was 50/50 at best. It never worked for me had to get a custom firmware (made by pwnage tool) and use ireb to install it. Be glad geodick isn’t working on it. And according to their tweets they are porting it.

Childish? Maybe, but he’s a kid. Incredibly gifted in his understanding but let’s face it, The drive to do something for unselfish reasons generally comes later in life. As far as the contest, he didn’t want to “win” he wanted the 40 grand…as did I! Lol.

He shouldnt have made that comment. This tends to have a childish attitude. If he decides not to work on the new rom its ok for me. Simply holding private life out of the community is essential which he did not do.

how greatfull i am to geohot for his work. It has made my experience with the iphone joyfull and worth lovin this phone. If it wasnt for geohot i would have given up my iphone long time ago.

Now you’re talking rubbish against GeoHot after you have used his blackra1n. You’re f*****n ungrateful bulls***ts!!! His jailbreak and unlock is the easiest and fastest and most stable of all. You just don’t know how to do it you freakin I don’t know what to call you…hipocrites maybe! And whoever said blackra1n is buggy well your brain probably is buggy because if you don’t know what you’re talkin better shut your face! I have unlocked a 16GB 3GS so easily which is still running very smoothly, and a 32GB 3GS recently. The very new 32GB 3GS turns to recov mode whenever the iphone is restarted or powered off as obviously the FW has been patched but you can easily reboot it using the same blackra1n and that’s it. As simple as that. Its all been explained right on GeoHot’s face if you would just click it twice. I have used many DEV TEAM’s unlocks but no one came close to GeoHot’s easy and smooth s/w. The Dev Team should accept they were beaten by GH at some point and GH has just proven himself. Sometimes it is not always right to say “two(or many)heads are better than one. That’s why I never had a second thought giving a donation for a job well done by GH or any body else. I hope he would not lose interest in finding ways to give us iphone users an easy life.

I think all we could do is seat and wait for the next jailbreak either from Dev Team or Geo Hotz himself. There is nothing we could do since they’re more intelligence into such programming?

I’d been waiting patiently for a untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3GS for months, and hopefully there is a real great surprise coming up. =p

GeoHotz I actually have respect for… I also have respect for the Dev Crew and one hell of a lot of other people with the skills to do what they do … I’m an ex software cracker with a speciality in dongles so I appreciate the amount of time it takes to pull apart someone else’s work figure out what the hell it does and then put it back together but then create a patch or crack or keygen that will make what I do simple for the people who want to use it. I used to get complaints on release sites about stupid crap like “this app won’t run with this plugin cause it crashed when I did this … NOW FIX IT!!!1″ and it was that constant barrage of unrelenting crap that makes people just give up… How the hell are we supposed to account for every single possibility of hardware and software combinations on a single persons system? I didn’t devote my life to doing cracks for people. I found doing it entertaining and a damn fine challenge. That is the reason I was so damn interested in the fact that GH was looking into the PS3. That is a real challenge and so much more interesting than making a small handful of people happy cause they have an untethered JB… WOW it will save you from having to plug in and run blackra1n every time you reboot if you happen to have a 3GS in the serial number range of the iPhones with the new bootrom. Seriously how often do you have to reboot your iPhone?

George Hotz and the Dev Crew donate a small amount of their FREE time to do something that interests them. They don’t do it to make you happy… They don’t do it so you can get shit for free… They do it cause it interests them… It is their free time they are wasting and having to answer to a bunch of whining asshats with the patients of freaked out monkey’s waiting for mummy to give them a banana is just a waste of even more of their free time…

Leave the people who do this stuff for free alone. Make suggestions by all means but quit attacking them. If you poke them enough they will leave and in some cases the hole they leave is so large they won’t be able to be replaced. And if you really piss them off you might end up regretting your stupidity…

Anyone that has worked in customer service knows that you are more likely to help the person that is nice and calm and reasonable and MUCH less likely to help the person that is screaming and swearing and hurling abuse at you… If it is in your nature to be the latter person then all I can say is piss off before you ruin it for everyone else.

Geohot perhaps just charge for support. Brian in a moron our products are released first and the best.

Well said iphone 3GS, but you are missing a key point. GEO has said many times he does not care about what problems others are having! Pretty funny watching him say it worked for 95% of 6million devices, when that is obviously not even close to being accurate, and in the same breath he flat out says he doesnt care if his stuff is buggy and doesnt care about what problems people have……

Blackra1n does exactly what it says it would do, untethered jailbreak & warns you’ll have to re-jailbreak after reboot. If you don’t like it, restore to original settings. It’s as easy as that, stop complaining & be grateful & THANKFUL for all jailbreaks & unlocks!!!

I’d prefer having to pay for a software that does an untethered jailbreak as quick as possible,after the iPhone software is upgraded by Apple.

There is not much reason for support blackra1n is really stragiht forward,and some minor bugs people might have they can easily find the solutions on the internet.
