What happens when apple wont restore your firmware because they refuse to verify it? I.e. I am runing 3.1 on a 3gs but want to upgrade to 4.0.1 and use jailbreak me to jailbreak but when i try to update my firmware it says apple cannot verify….is there a way around that?

hi, the jailbreak worked perfectly, whoever the unlock was unsuccessfull. i have Modem Firmware 05.11.07 and i did all the steps mentioned in this tutorial, but i got “Locked SIM” when i put SIM in the iphone after installing ultrasn0w…

can Firmware 05.11.07 be unlocked?

Please help.

I’m LOST i used the pwnage 3.1.4 and now i have the Modem Firmware 5.x.x

I used your tutorial to jailbreak my 3GS – 3.1 iPhone with BlackRa1n after a long wait. The jailbreak went very smoothly. I am having issues with the unlock. I followed all the steps and installed ultrasn0w, but when I put in a SIM card it keeps searching for a network and then finally displays “No Service”, I do not get the Invalid SIM message. Could you please guide me further, am I missing something?
I have bought this phone new from a reseller so I am not aware how the previous owner upgraded to 3.1 Will upgrading to 3.1.2 help with the unlock process?
