I just wanna question about the auto brightness thing. When it’s set to automatic, doesn’t it consume more battery life?

I have the Mophie Juice Pack Air & I love it! I can go all day with battery life, plus have extra to play with. Best $$ I spent since I bought the iPhone, especially since my upgrade isn’t until October this year, so I had to do something, lol.

Basically… do NOT use your iphone for any of the features that you probaly bought it for and you will get GREAT battery life. I love my iPhone but if I have to shut down the wireless, push notification and all those features then what is the point of even having it? Here is the solution, get a cheap car charger from ebay (i got mine for 3$) and get in the habit of giving it a little juice every now and then.

Actually, turning off the 3G helps out alot. I find that I can still surf the net at a decent speed and it really improves the life but I still say you should just get a car charger and give it a little juice here and there. The IPhone charges REALLY fast and even a quick 15-20min charge here and there will really help you get through the day

I got my 3gs 1 month ago. The battery is not better than my old 2g (2 years old). It run faster but battery doesn’t last a day. I didn’t change my style. I hope apple wil make better battery for next one

I have to second Polemecist’s post. I got the Mophie Juice Pack Air and I can at least guarantee that I’ll have a charge through the day. And if I keep the Mophie charged, in theory I’ll double the life of the iPhone’s battery.

Still, it’s kind of an expensive solution, and hopefully Apple will fix the firmware.

Zeeshan (or others) does turning off bluetooth, wifi and location if they are not being used actually save battery life? I have the search for wifi off but turning the antenna off saves? Same with others?

I’m actually getting very decent battery by turning off WiFi, location services, bluetooth and 3G…I turn them on whenever I wanna use them and my iPhone 3G runs consistently for approx 3 days without need for a recharge. One problem though, I wonder if anyone else has hit this…the phone dies out at 10% battery, so, my actual battery time is from 100% to 10%! Any ideas how i can use the last 10%, maybe I can push it to 4 days

WTF? Turn off your phone. That will increase battery life. Should drain in about 1 week.
