@Rn3sto I would say no. They usually do not release unlocks for every firmware. If there is an easily exploitable hole in the baseband then they might, but there is a good chance they will simply release the jailbreaking tools with the option to bypass the baseband update, thus upgrading your firmware but not your baseband. That isn’t to say they won’t unlock the new baseband, it just isn’t a guarantee so I would make sure you use their tools to update

@Ahmad No you cannot update, they are saying that you will not lose your unlock forever, but you will still be locked because you will not be able to jailbreak because the tools do not support 3.1. Wait until the Dev Team releases a jailbreaking tool for 3.1 and then update. DO NOT UPDATE WITHOUT FIRST MAKING SURE THE TOOLS ARE OUT, yo will not lose your unlock PERMANENTLY but you will LOSE IT until the jailbreaking tools are released

So does that mean that iphone 2G users can upgrade to OS 3.1 and have there iphone jailbreaked and unlocked
