they say 2.2 is buggy plus i have tons of apps in my present set-up, it will take me ages to install them again, oh well, i hope they have made it compatible with 2.1

This thing only works on 2.2, i hate to upgrade to 2.2. But this app is a compelling reason to upgrade, i now have a big problem

Instead of picking on you, Sebastien, I’d like to complement you on having the grace to come back and admit that your first impressions were incorrect and updating them. I think that’s admirable.

And I’m sure a lot of people will look at hClipboard andreact just as you did, by saying, “Oh that all seems too complicated”. I guess Clippy will meet the needs of those people perfectly.

You’re right, I should take a minute to read the instructions but I just feel too lazy for that, even though I hear hClipboard is a better app than Clippy.

I don’t know how you didn’t understand the instructions. They are actually pretty simple IMO. If you had actually figured it out, you would realize that it’s a better implementation than Clippy is. You have to enable the hKeyboard in Settings -> Keyboards. Then you click the Globe beside spacebar to activate it.

Some great benefits I’ve noticed after using both:
-Selecting text is much easier on hClipboard. Especially if you have to select a whole paragraph.
- All copied text becomes available on a ‘clipboard’ for use any other time. This comes in handy for commonly used items such as emails and logins.
-Text that you have just typed in Safari text fields, such as the comment text field in here can’t be copied using Clippy, try it. hClipboard can do this.
-The bookmarkets (for copying non-input text within Safari) work very well too. Better than Pastebud did. Instead of adding a copy and paste bookmark, you add just a Copy bookmark and use hClipboard to do the rest.

It’s really a superior copy/paste implementation IMO. Clippy is good dont get me wrong but hClipboard is more of a full solution.
